Both soil water retention curve and unsaturated hydraulic conductivity data are often necessaiy for solving soil unsaturated flow problems. This study derived a simple method for determining soil water retention curve, unsatuated hydraulic conductivity curve, saturated hydraulic conductivity, hydraulic diffusivity curve and volumetric water content curve from soil texture. Soil water retention curve measured for two samplies in laboratory and calculated for which sample with method derived. The calculatd soil water retention curve for the sample with min. geometric particle-size diameter and max. geometric standard deviation approximated the measured soil water retention curve. The calculated unsaturated hydraulic conductivity approximated the measured conductivities at all water contents for two soil samples
