Abstract

Whenever a questionnaire is used for gathering information for a given research, the answers are usually ordered qualities. For using statistical methods, it is necessary to change these qualitative answers to quanitative equivalances. The goal of this article is to introduce an applicable statisical
method, by using maximum likelihood principles to change qualitative answers to quanitative equivalances. This method is useful for statistical calculations in behavioral, educational, extension’s and continuing education’s researches.
