Abstract

In order ti investigate the effects of wastewater irrigation on quantity and quality of wheat , an experiment was carried out using in and outflow from north Isfahan water refinery . A, randomized complete block design of three replications was employed . the treatments included: 1. wastewater( nonrefined) 2. primary pool water (senu- refined) 3. outflow (refined)4. well (refinerys) water as control . whater samples were taken at each irrigation to test for whtet quality in different treatments. A complete hatvest was carrid out in Im in each plot to test for quality and of wheat produced, water in all treatments was highet in value of chemical ixygen demand (COD) and suspension solids(SS) as compared with standards used in iran. Biochemical oxygen demand(BOD) and turbidity were higher in the case of non- refined and simi- refined treatnents as compared to standards used in iran. As far as classification is concerned non- refined wastewater (inflow) stands medium . with respect to EC,SAR, Sodium and pb water used in treatments is superior to control (well water) . A good grade goes to treatments as regards permeability and a medium grade as far as CI is concerned .
Bicarbonate(HCO3) hazard is high in the wastewater treatment. Average performance ( seed yield and 100 seed weight) was maximum in inflow treatment and it was minimum in the case of outflow . the highest average grain yield goes to the non-refined while the lowest stands for the refined water treatment. Analysis of variance revealed no significant difference in traits among treatments except for stem length.
