The use of coated monogerm seed in sugar beet cultivation is essential for full mechanized production of sugar beet and reduction of the costs of
production such as thinning charges. optimum plant density, low chemical

genetical monogerm cultivar 9597. Results ot germination frequency in the laboratory indicated that different pellete wmbination had influenced the
germination pl.:rcentage in the moist conditions. There was significant difference between treatments either in field or green house concerning thier rate of seedling emergence. Treatment mean comparisons showed that the seedling emergence rate in P 6 treatment of pellete combination was higher than the other treatments. Significant differences among various pellete
combinations for dry and fresh weight of hypocotyle, and their lenghts were'
observed. Thus, pellete combination would be effective on the hypocotyle growth. There were no significant differences among pellete combinations for any other traits. However, there were significant differences among different pellete combinations for perecent of germination in the laboratory, only one cultivar 9597 was used in the experiment.
