An experiment was conducted to study the allelopathic effect of different parts of weeds on the growth and yield of three Iranian wheat
varieties, the type of design was completely randomized in factorial
arrangment with six replications
per treatment. One factor was wheat
cultivars including Hirmand, Ghods, and Falal. and the second factor was different kinds of weed extracts. Each pot was considered as one experimental
:.lll. TL..: pots were filled with soils from the field. The soil was washed several times in order to remove the plant residues. Five seeds were equally arranged
and planted in each pot. The depth of planting was 3 centimeters. Statical analysis was carried out on plant character such as stem length, numher of
tillers. numher of seeds per panicle.thousand seed weight, Panicle length, along with morphological characteristics and hiological yield. The experimental
results indicated that the weeJ's powder in the ratio of 1 to 20 (1 Kg of weed's powder in 20 liters of water) in some treatments increased the yield while in other cases decreased the yield of wheat cultivars. Among the three
wheat cultivars, Ghods showed the highest degree of tolerance to alleIopathic effect of weed extracts.
