The performance of several different Sprinklers with different trajectory jet angles operating at different very--low—pressure under no wind condition, were evaluated in terms of the uniformity coefficient. The angle of inclination of the risers on two of the better sprinklers were changed in order to simulate different trajectory angles. Tests were run al: different pressures under no wind condition with 6 degree increments of trajectory angle. Finally, four different trajectory angles on one sprinkler were tested under wind conditions.
Under no wind condition, a trajectory angle about 36 degrees ,and in low and medium winds(2 to 6 m/sec or 4.47 to 13.42 mph)a trajectory angle about 3’) degrees resulted in better uniformities. Higher wind speeds (> 6m/sec or 13.42 mph)caused a sharder decrease in the coefficient of uniformity, particularly for wider spacing
