Coeficient of elasticity of Demand against variations in both Price and Income was studied. Calculations were based on the Time Series Analysis for which the data from Iran Center for Statistics was used as inputs.Known coeficients of demand for consuming goods can greatly help the programmers of Agricultural Plans toward a better understanding of the future demands variations for the goods.
For most of the products under study,the Coeficients of demand against variation in Price were rather high numerically;so much that for some fruits and fish meat ,they were greater than 2. The coeficients were also rather high and greater than 1 for different kinds of meat and dairy products.The coeficient of demand against variation in Income was as well greater than 2 for different kinds of fish meat and greater than 1 for fruits and meats.
