In recent Years many farmers have substituted Mazafati date for citruz and other Variety of dates such as Karoot. Increasing Price and high yield of Mazatati date has been the main reason for such decision by farmers.
in order to confirm this decision a random sample of 200 farmers were interviewed in 35 villages. Since the items of cost and Benefit occur in different years, present value of them was calculated.
Then partial budgeting technique was used in order to make comparison between the total amount which would decrease and increare the profit.
The results showed that by subsituting Mazafati date for citrus and Karoot date in one hectare, farmers can increase their profit in one hectar by 4717942 Rials. Therefore, making such decision by farmers seems to be rational.
