To investigate the effect of sowing date in controlling white rust diseases of cress in Varamin area, seeds of native variety of cress were sown in different dates during the year. The results indicated that there were significant differences between sowing dates in infection rates of leaves and plants. The Maximum infection rates of plots which were sown on October 3, October17, September 5. September 18 and March 17 were aboutl.3% but the Maximum infection rate with sowing date of March 31, April 14 and May 14 was about 41% . For the least disease loss,Planting of cress during October,September and early March is recommended in Varamin area. Two field experiements were conducted to evaluate ten fungicides against white rust,it was concluded that metalaxyl and oxadixyl+Mancozeb were most effective.
