For finding a suitable teachnique for micropropagation and regeneration in sweet corn (Zea mays L) an experiment was carried out, using 5 sweet corn cultivars. One of the most important factor for micropropagation of crops is to obtion a multiple shoot clumps using shoot-tip explants. The basal medium, was MS , supplemented with 500 mg casein bydrolysate (CH) and 3 levels (4/5,9 and 18 m )of BA were compared .The culture were kept in plant growth cabient in 27 + 1C for 4 weeks, and the experiment was studied in a factorial arrengement with a rendomized complete block design. There was a significant difference between difference BA levels. The highest multiple shoot clumps (MSC) was observed at 18 u M BA 79/4% but the MSC production was very low in other treatments. There was nosignificant difference between different genotypes in respect to MSC production . rate, the explants were subcultured on MS medium every 4 weeks intervals. The plantets to show then were transferred to the pot. After 12 weeks 480-500 plantlets were produced from each explant.
