Abstract

The research on annual plants is easier than in perennial plants, especially in fruit tress. This is more important when we need to do experiments under controled condition. The objective of this experiment is to evaluate the effects of N-No3 / N-NH4 in the growth and the quantity of other nutritional elements in different organs of two years old Golden delicious apple under controled condition. The complete nutritional solutions which were only different in N-N03/ N-NH4 content were used. The nitrogen content of all solution was 14 meq/l. While the source of nitrogen in solutions was 0,4.6 and 8 part ammonium and the rest nitrate respectively. While control solution was supplied with 12 meq/l nitrate and 2 meq/l ammonium .Two years old seedlings of Golden delicious apple grafted on maling 9 rootstock were treated with these solutions and the growth as well as N03 , H2P04,K,Ca and Mg were measured .The ilitrogen ratio for optimum growth is
estimated to be . This ratio also the best effect on the transportation and distribution of cations’ and anions in different parts of the plant . The persent of ammonium in nutritivee solution or in the soil; causes proper distribution of P, Ca, N03 and K in two years old apple seedlings . However, based on the results of this expriment a ratio of 2-3 part NH4 to 7 part of total nitrogen in soil or nutritive solutions recomended for apple trees.
