Abstract

A research was conducted to evaluate the effects of storage periode on the quantitative and qualitative characters of two persian grape cultivars “Keshmeshi seedless” and “shahroudy” in a factorial experiment using a complete randomized design during 1995 -97 at the cold storage and laboratories of Horticultural Department , Faculty of Agriculture , the University of Tehran. Grapes was stored for 135 days in the 0 ± 1°c and %87± 3 relative humidity Increasing the duration of the storage was associated with increase in the amount of decay, total soluble solid (T.S.S). Weight loss , shattering , rachis colour , shrivelling and browning and was associated with decrease in amount of total acidity (T.A). and brittleness in both cultivars .Under this experient conditions , the “shahroudy “stored better than the “Keshmeshi seedless” cultivar for long periode
