Residues of insecticides, Phosalone and etrimphos on cherries were determined by gas-liquid chromatography. The study reveraled that, the mean values for phosalone residues in washed and unwashed cherries were 0.38 ± 0.05 and 1.57± 0.5 mg/Kg, respectively. In the case of etrimphos, the mean values for recovered residues were 0.62 ± 0.14 and 0.89± 0.2 mg/Kg for washed and unwashed cherries , respectively A significant difference was found between the residues of phosalone in unwashed and washed sample, whereas for Etrimphos residues, the difference was not significant
