Abstract

Twenty five sesame(Sesamum indicum L.) improved varieties were evaluated in Karaj, Sari and Moghan for three years during 1990-1992, using simple latice design with two replications. Effect of cultivar * location * year interaction was highly Significant . Six statistical for measuring yield stability have been used :1) The variances of a genotype across environments, 2) Coefficient of variation (C.V), 3) Finly and Wilkinson coefficient(bi), 4) Eberhart and Russell s deviation parameter, 5) Lin and Bins the years within location MS,and 6) Within location CV were applied to the data. These six methods represented different results. The type four of stability parameters (the years within location MS and CV) are heritable and thus, these methods are used as the stability parameters and showed that Moghanli and Moghan 18 varieties stable and produce highly yield at the above mentioned regions.
