Aloe is one of the very important medicinal plants whose cultivation has been emphasized in recent years. Towards this end an experiment was conducted on Aloe micropropagation using shoot tip explants. Following to preliminary experiments, 7 superior culture media were chosen for among 22 tested ones. For more adaptation, produced shoots were subcultured for 3 times each time of one month interval on the same media. On the fourth subculture, some variables such as shoot height, multiplication rate and medium browning were investigated during the fifth week. MS medium supplemented with IAA (1mg/l) + kinetin (1 mg/l) + BA (1 mg/l) produced the highest (4.33 cm) propagule. The media containing 1 mg/l IAA + 1.5 mg/l Kinetin and media containing IBA + Kinetin + BA (Each one mg per liter) provided plants with a maximum number of shoots (5.67) per explant as well as the lowest browning rate. So, these media can be and are recommended to be used in Aloe micropropagation.
