Abstract

Total and storage proteins, fatty acids, soap index and iodine index were determined respectively through Kajehdal, electrophoresis, gas chromatography and chemical analysis in seeds of several varieties of B. napus. Then considering the results and employing multi variable statistical methods , these varieties were studied as well as chemotaxonomically compared . According to the results , the highest percentage of protein was determined in HYOLA 308 (28.53%) while the lowest in TALAYE (20.34%). In conclusion five main types of fatty acids, including Palmitic, Stearic, Oleic, Linoleic, Linolenic acids, were detected in the eight studied plants. In biochemical study of seedoil , iodin and soap index were measured respectively through titrimetery and Hanus methods . The highest soap index observed meseared in CERES (155.83) and the highest iodine index determined in ELVIS (50.25) . Isolation and analysis of seed storage protein was carried out, while employing Lamelli method and electrophoresis with Polyacrylamid gel on SDS Dendrogram in these 28 protein bands and similarity matrix showed the same percent and genetical distance between them . This way was used to determine Genetical distances between varieties on the basis of fatty acids and the satded varieties of canola were classified in five classes .
