This study was conducted to evaluate callus induction and plant regeneration from anther in 5 rice genotypes as well as Fl rice plants. In the study callus induction medium N6 modified (FJ, FJ4, G1 and L8) and induction medium Murashige & Skoog’s modified (M5, M7 and SKi1) were used. The results indicated that FJ4 was the best for callus induction with Ghasrod — dashti (48.5%) and F1 from Ghasroddashtix 1R28 (29.3%) exhibiting the maximum induction. Also regeneration in SK11 medium was better than in other media in Ghahsrod-Dashti (42.2%) and F1 (Ghasrod-dashti x 1R28) (11.7%) and Salari xIR28 (10%).
