To predict the succeeding next year prices of potatoes and onions, a forecasting model was applied to the monthly constant wholesale prices of these products during the period of 1991-1996. The results confirmed that the price of onions fluctuates in a wider range than that of potatoes not only during the next years but also within the months. Although the prices of both products cyclically change within the months, the price changes in these two products are positively correlated. Thus, whilst the price of one commodity is high in a particular year the price of the other is also high.
