In this study an extended economical model of McConnel as well as field sampling were employed to estimate the cost of soil erosion on a farm scale. Results showed that the average cost of soil erosion was 10721.98 Rls/ha, giving a total of 42.23 billion Rls. for the whole study area. There is a direct relationship between soil erosion cost and the price of wheat, such that an increase in wheat price significantly increased the cost of soil erosion. This study recommends the subsidizing of the soil conservation practices, taxing the farms with high potential soil erosion, and investing in soil conservation for future agricultural planning and policies.
